Meet Dr. Lalani
Sara Lalani, DMD, MSc.(D), FRCD(C)
Dr. Sara Lalani was born and raised in Toronto where she completed her undergraduate academics. She then moved to the city of Boston where she attended Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, graduating dental school in the top 3% of her class with the highest level of academic distinction, summa cum laude. Based on her academic achievements and community involvement, she was awarded membership into the national dental honours society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
With a passion for creating smiles, Dr. Lalani continued her dental career at Boston University, specializing in Orthodontics and training under the philosophy of a highly regarded educator in the field, Dr. Anthony A. Gianelly. During residency, Dr. Lalani was exposed to a wide variety of dental malocclusions ranging from interceptive based treatment for children, to complex, multi-disciplinary and surgical adult cases. She also had the opportunity to intern at Franciscan Children’s Hospital, where she worked closely on cases with Paediatric dentists and treatment for special needs patients. In addition to her rigorous training in the clinic, Dr. Lalani pursued her interest for research and successfully completed a Masters in Science and Orthodontics. She went on to pass both the American and Canadian licensing Boards, and was granted fellowship as an orthodontic specialist by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
After many years away, Dr. Lalani is excited to return to her family and friends in Toronto and is happy to be home, once again. When not in the office, you may find Dr. Lalani practicing yoga, dancing, spending time with her family, in particular her two nephews, or enjoying a movie and eating dessert! Dr. Lalani truly enjoys making you smile – she looks forward to meeting you and your family and having fun along your journey to a stellar smile.
